Advancing the Care Agenda on the National Stage
Last month, Care in Action put care center stage at the Democratic National Convention.
From Kamala Harris to Michelle Obama, Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, and Whip Katherine Clark, our leaders lifted care as a priority issue and the solution to the many crises Americans are facing.
Kerry Washington shouted out care workers:
You know why we need to leave it all on the field to elect @KamalaHarris?
Well….@kerrywashington summed it up tonight—“For our children, for our parents, for our teachers, for our care workers who treat our loved ones like their own, for working families who make this country… pic.twitter.com/89PhSzyE9d

Our care worker leaders Dionne Davis and Emma Biggs were in attendance all week, connecting with other movement leaders and elected officials.
Emma Biggs, a childcare center director from North Carolina, and Dionne Davis, a Georgia-based organizer and former nanny, to share their experiences within the care industry. By bringing their authentic, nuanced experiences to the national stage, we continue to elevate the voices of care workers.
