NEW AD: Care Can’t Wait if Congress Wants to Fight Inflation

Congress Must Help Families With Rising Costs by Making Childcare and Long-Term Care More Affordable

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Care in Action released a new TV and digital ad highlighting how care can’t wait if Congress is serious about fighting inflation and helping families with rising costs. Congress must help families by making childcare and long-term care for seniors and people with disabilities more affordable and accessible.

“If Congress is serious about lowering costs for families and fighting inflation, they can address the reality that too many families are paying one quarter of their entire earnings on caregiving. The solution is clear,” said Ai-jen Poo, Senior Advisor to Care in Action. “The Senate can act now to lower child and long-term care costs for families. Not only is it the right thing to do, it’s the right answer to create good jobs, support working families, and lower costs all around. Care is the solution and care can’t wait.»

In addition to helping fight inflation, passing care legislation will help grow our economy as we continue to recover from the pandemic by creating good paying jobs and making sure working people don’t need to leave their jobs to be unpaid caregivers.

The new ad follows last week’s release of the Biden Harris Inflation Plan that names lowering health care and caregiving costs as a key tool to fight inflation.
