ICYMI: KGUN9 Highlights Ciscomani’s No-Show at Town Hall on Medicaid Cuts

“Despite Ciscomani’s absence, neighbors share concerns at town hall surrounding federal job and spending cuts”

Tuscon, AZ – On Saturday,  March 15, Care in Action, alongside Honest Arizona, LUCHA Arizona, Arizona Center for Empowerment (ACE), Arizona Jobs for Justice, and the Working Families Party, hosted an empty chair town hall on how proposed Medicaid cuts threaten the health care of 72 million Americans—including thousands of Arizona families. Rep. Ciscomani was invited and didn’t show up, but hundreds of his constituents did.

Parents, seniors, and veterans shared stories about how losing Medicaid coverage would impact their lives and livelihoods, calling on Rep. Ciscomani to engage with his constituents and address their concerns about rising costs and attacks on essential care services.
