Philadelphia, PA – Care Can’t Wait Action Leaders issued the following statement on tonight’s presidential debate and the stark choice in front of voters who want affordable child care, paid leave, and aging and disability care to be within reach for all of us.
“After tonight, care voters have another huge reason to turn out in droves this November. The debate made it even clearer that Vice President Harris is unquestionably the only candidate in this race whose priority is helping workers and families.
“Vice President Harris has a plan to lower families’ costs that includes helping working parents who need child care, seniors and people with disabilities who want to live with dignity in their homes, and every worker who’s ever needed to care for themselves or a loved one while earning a paycheck. Donald Trump and his Project 2025 plan would mean massive tax cuts for billionaires and more stress and expense for workers and families across the country. Care voters aren’t buying what Trump is selling.”
